Most people don’t enjoy going to the DMV. Usually it’s a yearly visit depending on where you live. You arrive there and have to wait in line. Usually you get called to the counter and more times than not the worker doesn’t have the best attitude. Well the Rhode Island DMV wants to charge you $15 just to walk in.
Believe it or not they call it their $15 “in-person” customer-service fee. The agency says that most of the stuff people come in for can be completed online. They want to decrease the amount of people who come in.
In Rhode Island it’s not uncommon for people to wait upwards of an hour to get what they need. How would you feel about paying a fee to enter a DMV to renew your tags or license? Let us know in the comments below!
