The 900hp full electric Mustang Lithium comes with a six-speed

Electronic vehicles (EV) are becoming more and more popular everyday. It seems like each automaker has some EV in the works. They provide a good amount of mileage on a full charge and the performance models can really put down some power. Ford teamed up with German engineering and came out with a one of a kind 900 HP electric Mustang with a six-speed transmission.

The car, named the Mustang Lithium, is a prototype built to show off the technology. Ford’s product chief Hau Thai-Tang says,

This one-off Mustang prototype is a great opportunity for us, together with Webasto, to showcase to our customers what a new electrified powertrains can do for performance in a car they already know and love

If you remember Ford recently announced the Mustang Mach-E SUV. It caused a lot of rifts on social media. Even though it was quickly trumped but the Tesla Cybertruck it has still remained a hot topic. The Mach-E is Ford’s way of getting into the EV market. Although there will probably be a sport version of the Mach-E not too much is known. That being said this single motor Mustang Lithium shows what power can be made out a single motor.

The Mustang Lithium has an 800 volt battery. With the developments by Webasto the battery is able to discharge a megawatt of energy and produce 900hp. The car has a built rear end and upgraded axles. This allows the car to put down the power reliably. In addition it comes with a 6 speed transmission. Overall the car is a pretty cool representation of where the auto industry is going.
