Normally when your license expires you have to go in and get a new one. You stand in line for a while until it is your turn. There will check to see if your information is up to date. After that they take your picture and print out your license.
Due to the Coronavirus a lot more activities are being performed online. In some states you can get your licensed renewed all on the internet. A woman in Tennessee renewed her licensed.
She received it in the mail and was satisfied until she saw the photo. For some reason the license showed and empty seat. There was a error at the BMV and someone added the picture of an empty chair.
The BMV managed to get everything sorted out. She got a license with her actual photo on it. Although if it was us we would have just kept the picture of the chair.
