The 2020 Ford Shelby GT 500 is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter 90-degree V-8 “Predator” engine. From the factory the car produces 760hp and 625 lb-ft of torque. Ford Performance recently announced that they will be selling a crate version of the engine.
It’s not yet known how much power the crate engine will produce. Although if it’s anything like the Hellcrate engine then we can be sure to see a good amount of power. The predator engine is also lighter than the Hellcrate and can fit in even smaller engine bays.
It will be interesting so see what automotive enthusiast can come up with. Maybe put the motor in a Ford Festiva? If you had a choice what vehicle would your put this engine in?
