Cops: Man driving 118 mph — in 45-mph zone — says he was testing new car parts

A man was realeased on bond after he was driving 118 mph — in 45-mph zone — says he was testing new car parts. An officer was patrolling an industrial area in Atlanta when a clocked a 2007 BMW going 100mph in a 47mph zone.

The BMW was swerving in and out of traffic and driving erratically. Police pulled over the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Kenny Hemraj. Kenny stated (he had) “just fixed a part on the car and we just wanted to make sure it was good,” Man parks car in front of someone’s driveway

A spokesperson for the police department said, “From officers who’ve worked here awhile, they’ve said that’s probably one of the fastest they’ve seen.”

The driver was cited for speeding and reckless ops. He was released on bond. They’re lucky they caught the man driving 118 mph — in 45-mph zone before he hurt someone or himself.
