If you remember in May Harbor Freight recalled 1.7 million jack stands for manufacturing issues. The claws which lock the jack stands could shift under load which could drop the vehicle.
Harbor Freight allowed customers to exchange their jack stands for items of equal or lesser value. Some of the jack stands that were meant to be a replacement ended up having a recall of their own.
Some of the replacement jack stands had some welding defects. Anyone who has the jack stands listed below should stop using them immediatley. Harbor Freight says that they will allow customers to trade the defected stands in.
