A man from New Jersey passed away after his vehicle caught fire. the 62 year old man got his Mazda crossover stuck in a snowbank. He tried to free his vehicle but the tires just spun.
Police received a call about the stranded vehicle. They arrived on scene and try to sway the vehicle forward and back to free it. They were unsuccessful so they told the man and headed back to their vehicles while they called in for a tow truck..
Soon after the officers heard a loud pop and say that there was smoke coming from the vehicle. They ran to help the man but the doors were locked. By the time there were able to break the rea passenger window the car was mostly engulfed in flames.
There was so much smoke and fire that they weren’t able to save the man,
