Drag racing happens. Sometimes it is a driver trying to show off. In most instances nothing bad happens. Although, there are times where the cars get into accidents. Usually, the police are called and the guilty parties get arrested and have their cars impounded.
In this instance, the cops didn’t need to get called. The police were actually the ones doing the drag racing. Four officers in two D.C cruisers raced down a street at excessive speeds. While this probably happens more than we know, this time one of the cruisers slammed into the other.
The airbags were instantly deployed and the cars came to a halt. One officer has his body camera on which recorded the whole incident. Lucky for them no one was killed. All of the officers reported having minor injuries. The incident is still under investigation from the Office of the Attorney General.
