State Troopers save a man from a burning semi seconds before it explodes

Sometimes law enforcement don’t always get the credit they deserve. They put their lives on the line for strangers every day. Believe it or not they get scared during their jobs but they do what has to be done. They may not always get along with us car guys but these two troopers are ok by us. Their quick reacting saved a man from being blown to bits.

Trooper Robert Tarleton had a car pulled over on the side of the highway. He had asked for the driver’s license and registration. Before he could walk back to his car a tractor trailer went zooming by. Shortly after it slammed info a guardrail and struck a bridge.

The truck was quickly engulfed in flames. Tarleton gave the driver of the stopped car their license back and told them to go. He ran back to his cruiser where he calmly alerted dispatch of the accident and requested an ambulance. The Trooper drove over then ran to the scene of the blazing semi. He met with State Police Lieutenant Edward Ryer who was driving home from work.

The two officers dragged the man out of the semi and pulled him across the highway. Seconds after they had the man out the tractor trailer exploded. The driver sustained only minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Thanks to these two officers this man lived to see another day. Have you ever seen a crash like this?
