Another recall for the 2020 Toyota Supra

Buying a new car can be a great experience. Knowing something has little to no mileage and that everything is still in perfect condition makes buying a new car that much easier. Unfortunately sometimes the manufacturer didn’t work out all the kinks before they released the vehicle. BMW has a recall for the 2020 Toyota Supra again.

The BMW recall has 51 different vehicles affected. They are, the 2018 BMW 540D, 2018–2019 BMW 640I, Rolls-Royce Phantom, 2018–2020 BMW 530e, 530i, 540i, M5, M550i, X3, 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, 2019–2020 BMW 330I, 740Le, 740Li, 745Le, 750Li, 840i, M340i, M850i, X4, X5, X6, X7, Z4, and 2020 Toyota Supra.

The rear backup camera the part being recalled. As the user you are able to manipulate and change settings for the backup camera. In most cases you would want these settings saved so that you don’t have to reenter them every time. Unfortunately if you don’t manual reset the settings the camera may not show the correct display or orientation which can make you think that your surroundings are different than they are. For instance something could have been moved behind you but if your camera is oriented in a different direction you might not see it and have a collision.

Dealers will be able to update the software and resolve the issue. If you remember BMW recently recalled the 2020 Toyota Supra for some bad welds. Have you ever had a car recalled?
