A man pays almost one million dollars for a parking spot.

No one likes paying for parking. Plus if you live near an active city it can be almost impossible to find a good spot without paying an arm and a leg. Not to mention if there is a local event going on.

One individual in China wanted to park as close to his office. He decided to purchase a spot for close to one million dollars. The spot is located near The Center building in Hong Kong. The area is sectioned off from the rest of the cars and it sits at the top of the Center’s parking garage.

The unnamed individual spent $969,000 to be exact. This comes out to about $7,200 a square foot. Surprisingly a luxury apartment in Manhattan goes for $1,770 a square foot just for a comparison. The South China Morning Post shared the article stating that a neighbor was the one who sold the man a spot.
