With stricter and stricter laws regarding emissions California is really trying to make a push against decreasing their carbon footprint. If you remember that California recently said that they are not going to be using certain auto manufacturers for state vehicles because they don’t meet their strict emission laws.
That being said California, more specifically the city of Novato, is considering banning all gas powered lawn equipment. A shop owner in Novato is upset because this could cost him tens of thousands. If it passes he’ll have to start selling more electric equipment. Currently there are 60 cities in California that have some type of ban on gas powered lawn equipment.
